International Digital Twins of the Ocean Summit 2023

Endorsed by the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (2021-2030), the Digital Twins of the Ocean (DITTO) program was launched in 2021 with a visionary goal. This goal revolves around the creation of a world where digital replicas of the ocean (DTOs) are harnessed to bolster crucial aspects of ocean protection, effective ocean governance, and the promotion of a sustainable Blue Economy.

Marking a significant milestone, the DITTO Summit scheduled for 2023 will be hosted by the Fujian Ocean Innovation Center and the State Key Laboratory of Marine Environmental Science at Xiamen University from November 9 to November 12th.

Topics

This Summit will consist of interconnected sessions covering:

  1. advancing DTOs architectures and interoperability
  2. innovation of the predictive engines taking advantage of AI and ML opportunities
  3. sharing, visualising and accessing DTOs information
  4. showcasing the power of existing DTOs
